Good Read from Propel Women

Hey y’all,

Am I the only one who still appreciates a timely newsletter with just the right words you didn’t know you needed until you read it! I try to stay up to date with the ones I’ve subscribed to but you know life! So as of late I’ve been reading them a week late! Any way one of my favorites posed a question and I thought it was share worthy. Because I believe so many of us are in pursuit of “it all” and if you’re like me trying to live a life surrendered to what God wants for you. We have to mindful of what we pursue, this newsletter put somethings into perspective for me take a moment to read it below!

“You can have it all!”

It’s a message we are bombarded with in our culture. I see it everyday on social media, in magazines and advertisements, even in music and movies. “Having it all” is an appealing thought that can motivate us to seek after all we want.

One major challenge with that goal is we will never reach it because the more we have, the more we want. But the truth is, God actually has so much for for us than we could ever dream of having! So how can we focus on pursuing all that God has for us instead of trying to have it all?

  • Reorder your priorities. When you choose to put God first in your life, He will provide all that you need in order for you to do what He created you to do.

  • Pursue your God-given purpose. When you are running the race God created you to run, you will experience all that God has for you.

  • Stop striving. Choose to trust God’s plan and provision rather than striving for every good thing on your own. 2 Corinthians 9:8 reminds us, “God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all you need, you will abound in every good work.”

This week, take a deep breath and relax knowing that it’s really okay to not have it all, because He has all we need.
